OUR OVERVIEW
The Karakulam Co-operative Society was registered on 03/06/1950 and its functioning was started on 01/08/1950. The founder of this organization was Mr. Velappan Nair and also he was the first president of this organization. The Karakulam Co-operative Society has its working jurisdiction that covers the whole area of Karakulam Grama Panchayath. The society has its headquarters at Karakulam.
The main objective of the Society is to encourage tactical and cooperative behaviour among the members and also the society promote cooperative principles and develops plans to bring it into the best possible way. For providing agricultural, industrial, employment, educational, and trade loans to our members, the society borrows loans from Government, NABARD, NCDC, State Co-operative Bank, District Co-operative Bank, and other financial institutions. More than that, society is also organizing activities for improving members’ finances and family life. The society is taking special care to organize activities that promote the cottage industry and small industries
